Big Picture 2

39.    Adam and Eve chose to play the blame game. More deception and lies they tell as they now take on the character of their new father, the devil. (You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. John 8:44) Adam blames God and the woman (The man said, "The woman you put here with me--Gen 3:12) and Eve blames the devil. (The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." Gen 3:13) The devil just sits there watching with glee, enjoying the torment which he has set in motion. The devil doesn't leave, while he still has legs, he just feels satisfaction in his success of making a mess, breaching the relationship between God and His children.

38.   Unfortunately Eve and Adam do not repent. They do not turn back to God. They have an attitude and behavior that keeps them where they are, sticking to their own prideful choices. They quickly forget to be humble before a loving, gracious, forgiving, and sovereign God.

39.   God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Gen 3:14,15)

40.   Next God punishes Eve. (And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." Gen 3:15-16)

41.   Next God disciplines Adam. (To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, `You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." Gen 3: 17-19)

42.   But God has a promise of hope for His creatures, all of whom He always loves. God promises a Savior who will bring them back into fellowship with Himself as if they are again in the Garden of Eden. (And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." Gen 3:15) This was fulfilled by the Messiah.

43.   Surely Adam and Eve endured sorrow for the rest of their lives by not being able to walk and talk with the Lord God in the Garden of Eden. God's compassion for them was demonstrated by His Word of Hope for both parents! (Gen 3:15) And God kept His promise to them and to us!! ("Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." Rom 4:3; ;For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--Eph 2:8)

44.   The ending of the story came when Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah was born of a Virgin and died on the cross as an atonement for your sins and mine.  If, through faith, we accept Jesus death on the cross for the payment of our sins, we receive forgiveness from God.  This causes us to be the adopted sons and daughters of God. God places His Spirit in us which means we are born again.

45.   When we accept Jesus' death on the cross as our own punishment for our personal sins, then Jesus accomplishes the impossible for us and we have a sure hope that never ends!

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:26 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Rom 15:4 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 15:13

Have you sinned and so you are separated from the presence of the omniscient loving Lord God? God sees you just like He saw Adam and Eve hiding themselves. Are you hiding your self from God? Are you ashamed of your sin, too? Do you want to continue to live in thorns and briars and darkness of your life, or do you want to come out and into the Light of Life? Bring me to Prayer   or to My Room.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6; When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

Do you want to be set free?     So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Then trust the Savior.                 They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world." John 4:42

This documentary explains why people do wrong and why nature is cruel. We each have a choice, to follow God or not. To be in a friendship with the Lord God, or to be His enemy.

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John15:15     You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:4

The effect of sin is the pain and anguish all around us. The consequence of staying in sin is to go to Hell. Do you want to leave your sins behind?  Do you want to be a new creation in Christ Jesus?  Yes!

Jesus Christ is the only way!

The war was won by God's own Son.   The plan was made and Jesus saved    -Now it's up to us, to take and hold-  The call of God to a redeemed soul.

Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 1 John 5:10

What will be your choice in this war for your soul? Who do you want to win you? The Lord God loves you with an everlasting Love.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Pet 5:8 KJV

If you haven't committed your life to Jesus Christ, the Living God, will you remain unchanged and thus devoured by the devil?

Will you continue to be a marionette of the one who hates God and you? Or will you choose to receive God's free gift of freedom by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Cor 4:6 Jesus the Lord replied, "to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." Acts 26:18

Do you want to be free from going to the place where all who are of the devil go to - hell? The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Romans 16:20 "Then he will say to those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matt 25:41

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Acts 10:38

Are you like this?                 "You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? Acts 10:13  Then quickly turn to Jesus!!     "and do not give the devil a foothold." Eph 4:27   Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Eph 6:11;   Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil-- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Heb 2:14-15

He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 1 John 3:8

The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Rev 12:9

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev 20:10

He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 1 John 3:8

Instead:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Pet 5:8 KJV

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 NIV

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. 1 John 3:10

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude 1:9

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Forgiveness:    This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.  Matt:26:28        God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. Acts 5:31;      All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." Acts 10:43        In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's  Eph 1:7        In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.  Heb 9:22

Adopted:        He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--  Eph 1:5      Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.  Rom 9:4        For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."  Matt 12:50         He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."  Luke 8:21         For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.  Rom 8:29

Born again:          For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.  Peter 1:23     For more of God's description > born again.

Yes!  I want to submit myself to God!  Prayer.
