Hell

Hell is a real place reserved for the devil and his fallen angels.

Hell is a place where Jesus Christ wishes you would not choose to go.    If you and I do not accept the fact that we are sinners, people who have done wrong, and if we do not receive Jesus Christ's dying on the cross for our sins, receive the Holy Spirit in our lives, and daily choose to turn away from our own sinful desires and instead obey and follow the Lord Jesus Christ, then we are choosing to live without God's Love and Protection.

Jesus Christ spoke of hell more than any other person in the Bible.  He wants us to know that it is a very real place.  Hell is the true consequence of unrepentant sin.  Unrepentant sin is wrong doing that  you do not regret and you choose to do again.

Hell is Everlasting

"Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."  Matthew 12:32

"And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out.  It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched."  Mark 9:47  (Editors note:  Choose Christ first, be filled with the Holy Spirit, live in obedience to God Almighty, and then you will not go to hell.  Prayer)

"And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever.  There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."  Revelation 14:11

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.  They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  Revelation 20:10

Hell is without God

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the peoples one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left... "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels....I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of theses, you did not do for me.' Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."  Matthew 25:31-46

"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.  Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.'  But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'  Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'  But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from.  Away from me, all you evildoers!'  There will be weeping there and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out."    Luke 13:24-28

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power...  2Thessalonians 1:8-9

Hell is a place of Suffering

Jesus said, "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.  At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table.  Even the dogs came and licked his sores.  The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side.  The rich man also died and was buried.  In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.  So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'   But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.  And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'  He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my fathers' house, for I have five brothers.  Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'  Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them,'  'No, father Abraham, he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'  He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead."  Luke 16:19-31  Rise from the Dead

"...he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into his cup of wrath.  He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.  Revelation 14:10  Also, Matthew 8:12; Matthew 10:28;

Eternal Separation from the Righteous

Jesus explained, "Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore.  Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.  This is how it will be at the end of the age.  The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth....Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."  Matthew 13:47-50; 24:46

Properties

Abyss:      The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to earth.  The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.  When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace.  The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.  and out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.  They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads....They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, in Greek, Apollyon.  Revelation 9:1-11

Burning Sulfur:    "...he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into his cup of wrath.  He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.  Revelation 14:10

Condemnation:      "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."  Mark 16:16   "Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and Only Son."  John 3:18   Also, Matthew 23:33; John 5:29; 2Peter 2:3.

Darkness:     "And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."   Matthew 25:30    For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you.  They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord....They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.  Jude 4,13        Also, Matthew 8:10-12; Matthew 22:13

Destruction:    Jesus said, "Enter through the narrow gate.  For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it."  Matthew 7:13    For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.  Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is their shame.  Their mind is on earthly things.  Philippians 3:18,19    Also, Romans 9:22; 1Thessalonians 5:2

Eternal Fire:    In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.  They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.  Jude 7  Also, Matthew 18:8; 24:41

Eternal Punishment:    He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power...  2Thessalonians 1:8-9

Fiery Furnace:    Jesus said, "They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."  Matthew 13:42

Fire:        "The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."  Matthew 3:10

Hell:        Jesus said, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."  Matthew 10:28   Also, Matthew 5:22, 29-30; Matthew 23:33; Mark 9:43

Judgment:        The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them.  1Timothy 5:24  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if He did not spare the..., then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.  2Peter 2:4-9        And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home - these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. Jude6

Lake of Burning Sulfur:      And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.  They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.  Revelation 20:10  Also, Revelation 19:20

Lake of Fire:    Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.  The lake of fire is the second death.  If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.  Revelation 20:14

Second Death:    "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars - their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  This is the second death."   Revelation 21:8

Unquenchable Fire:      Jesus said, "His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."  Matthew 3:12; Luke 3:17

If you have ever been involved with Satan, or the Devil, there is a way out!!  Jesus Christ came on this earth to save you from the Devil!!  Do not believe the father of lies.  Jesus wants you to come to Him just as you are and He will set you free!  Jesus says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."  John 8:36

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.  Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."  John 8:36

If you have addictions, if you act like the devil has a hold on your mind and your body, if you fear often, then you need the blood of Jesus Christ, the Savior.  Jesus understands you and loves you unconditionally!  Believe and trust in Jesus!  Please say this prayer:

Jesus, you know who I am and what kind of a person I am.  You alone know that there is no way that I can get out of where I am by myself.  I have tried, and I feel trapped.  Please Jesus, forgive me for all of the bad and rotten things that I have done.  Wash me clean with Your Holy Blood of the Cross.  Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may learn from you.  Jesus, I give you my life, I give you my problems, I give you my heart.  Jesus, I make you Lord over all of me.  Please make Yourself more real to me, concretely show me all about You.  Help me to obey You and give You the glory all throughout my life!  I love you Jesus!  Thank you for setting me free, and for forgiving me of all of my sins.  Help me to do them no more, and help me to forgive myself as well.    In Your Holy Name I  Pray,  Amen.

If you have just prayed that prayer, please let us know!  We want to congratulate you and help strengthen you in your walk with the Risen Lord Jesus Christ.  God Bless you!!  Bring me to Feedback.
