Jesus is Fully God and Man

What is the Messiah?    What does the word Christ mean?

Who is the Christ?    Who is Jesus?

Does Jesus Christ have Power?   Is Jesus the Messiah?

What was the person of Jesus like?

Jesus Christ is part of the Holy Trinity.

The word Christ means Messiah.   The Bible tells us that the Messiah would be a man who would have complete authority over every person.  The Christ would have many wonderful names and he would be born in Bethlehem.  The Bible also reveals that the Messiah would be a man of sorrows, a faithful servant of his people who would set them free from their bondage to sin.

Here are God's words about the Messiah or Christ:

~~ Psalms 110:1  The Lord says to my Lord: "Sit at my right had until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

~~  Isaiah 9:6,7  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.   And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of his government and peach there will be no end.  He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.  The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

~~ Michah5:2  But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

~~ Isaiah 42;1-4  Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will  bring justice to the nations.  He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.  A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.  In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth.  In his law the islands will but their hope.

~~ Isaiah 59:20 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the Lord.

~~ Psalm 22:6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by  men and despised by the people.

~~ Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for out iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

~~ Isaiah 49:7 This is what the Lord says - the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel - to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

Who is the Christ?

Jesus Christ was and still is the Messiah, or Christ.  The book of Genesis in the Bible explains "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.  And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light." God's Word the existed before the world was formed.  In the book of John in the Bible John explains that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." John 1:1,2

Word is Logos, the Law, the means by which God created everything.  The Bible, which is alive and active is Jesus, the Word of God. Genesis 1:1-3,John 1:1-3

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity.  The counselor,...comforter, teacher, helper.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
