                           ~~The Character of God  ~~

God is All-Loving, Omniscient (All-knowing), Omnipotent (All-powerful), Omnipresent (Always everywhere at the same time), Sovereign and has always and will always exist.

God is All-Loving,-    Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8     And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

God is Perfect -    I will proclaim the name of the Lord . Oh, praise the greatness of our God!  He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just.  A faithful God Who does no wrong, upright and just is He. Deut 32:3,4

God is all Knowing, Omniscient -        O Lord , You have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue You know it completely, O Lord. Psalm 139:1-4

God is All seeing, omnipresent, is present everywhere -      Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to  You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. Psalm 139:7-12

God is all powerful - Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:26   Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27   Also see: Genesis 1 & Job 40 and 41.

God always was, is and always will be -  "I am Who I am", Exodus 3:14;   "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty." Rev 1:8    He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. Rev 21:6        I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Rev 22:13

God is Love.  Real love isn't our love for God, but his love for us.  God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven.  1John 4:16,10

Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.  Psalm 6:4

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.  A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He. Deuteronomy 32:4

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.  Psalm 86:15

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.  He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;  he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:8-10

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love;  I have drawn you with loving-kindness." Jeremiah 31:3

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit....Titus 3:4,5

our God is greater than all other gods.  2 Chronicles 2:5 NKJV

But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Psalm 115:3 NKJV

THE HOLY TRINITY

The Holy Trinity is the word given for the One Holy God.  Almighty God is a Triune God.  It is Three Persons in One.  It is only One God.  One deity, however, that has three distinct members, or persons that make up the one God.  Since we are so finite as human beings, we cannot comprehend the infiniteness of the Holy God in all of His Magnitude.  However, Scripture is clear.  The three Persons in one are God the Father, or Creator, God the Son, or Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.  Each has its own personality and job, so to speak.  God is Love, and thus they operate in complete unity and love.  Ask the Lord God to reveal Himself to you, and to give you a peace as to who He is in relationship to you.

Bring me to Lots More on the Trinity

God the Father:

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let then rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over al the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."  Genesis 1:26

Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  Isaiah 40:28

But  you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, O Lord, are our Father; our Redeemer from of old is your name.  Isaiah 63:16

Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.  Isaiah 64:8

God the Son:

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.  1Corinthinians8:6

"All things have been committed to me by my Father.  No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him".  Matthew 11:27

"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"  John 8:58

" Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father....I and the Father are one." John 14:9,10:30

"I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to my Father."  John 16:28

Bring me to Who is Christ.

Jesus defeated sin on the cross, Jesus healed thousands during his lifetime and millions more after he died, Jesus brought joy to those who spent time with Him when He was here on earth, and brought millions more joy after He died.  ........... Bring me to:  Jesus Christ the Messiah  or  Jesus Christ Power  or  The Christ to Be... or Jesus the Person or Christ's Foretold Death or Christ's foretold Resurrection and Return or Resurrection.

God the Holy Spirit:

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into he is likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2Corinthinians 3:17

So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hears as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did."  Hebrews 3:7-9

The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this.  First he says:  "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord.  I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."  Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."  Hebrews 10:15-17

but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.  The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.  We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.  1Corinthians2:10,12 NIV

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." said Jesus. Matthew 28:19,20

Obedience to the Lord God

"If you love me, you will obey what I command....Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.  He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." John 14:15

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.  This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.  This is love for God: to obey his commands.  And his commands are not burdensome....His command is that you walk in love.  1John5:1-3,2John6

Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud or rude.  Love isn't selfish or quick tempered.  It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do.  Love rejoices in truth, but not in evil.  Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful and trusting.  Love never fails!  1Corinthians 13-4-8

I would like to read some of God's promises.  Yes

God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  He is Love, and His character is Holy......and much more.

God can be known through all He has created.  He has revealed Himself through His only Son, Jesus Christ.  He has given His believers the Holy Spirit, the third person in the Holy Trinity, to be a counselor, teacher, comfort, and more. God has also given us His inspired Word, the Bible.

I would like to read God's Bible words about Salvation.
