for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23,24 1- Every one of us has done wrong things, Sin. 2- The Lord God Almighty is a Just God. 3- Atonement means the act of being reconciled. 4- God requires a specific Atonement. 5- The Required Atonement. 6- The Atonement does three things. 7- Will you take the Atonement for your own sins? 8- Consequences of your decision. 9. The Atonement provides blessings! Facts: 1. Every one of us has done wrong things, sin. You and I have done wrong things. These wrong things are called "Sin". We have done some of these wrong things on purpose. We have done some wrong things unknowingly since it is our human nature. Each of us has done wrong things to other people, to our family, to our own selves, and most of all, to the Lord God Almighty. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips." "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes." Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:10-26; Psalm 14:1-3~ See Bible Verses: 1 Sam 7:6; 2 San 24:17; 1 kings 8:50; 1 Chron 21:17; Psalm 51:4; Lament 1:8,5:16; Jer 14:7; Dan 9:11; Luke 15:21; Rom 3:23. ~See: God's Laws; Sinful Life; Hell; Big Picture 2- The Lord God Almighty is a Just God. God alone is Totally Holy and Righteous and Pure. God insists upon Justice and Righteousness. Without God being Holy and Righteous and insisting on Justice, there would only be Lawlessness and Harm. Heaven would not be heaven if evil could exist there."This is what the LORD spoke of when he said: "Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.'" Lev 10:3 I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Lev 11:44 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Isa 6:3 "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Rev 4:8 O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure. Psalm 7:9 And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. Isa 45:21 In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it-- one from the house of David-- one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness. Isa 16:5 "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. Isa 61:8 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 2 Thess 2:9,10Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." Heb 10:17 (Also Romans 1:16-32; 2 Thess 2:7-17) Bring me to Atonement 2 ~See: God, Hell, Sinful life, Heaven, devil, Big Picture |
