My Religion is Good

You may be quite content in your religion.  You may be told that if you do what the leaders of your religion say, then God will be pleased with you and you will go to heaven when you die.  You may believe that if you do what the leaders of your religion tell you to do, then you will enter the Kingdom of God.

But what does God say about who will be entering His Kingdom?  What does God say about men who tell you to pay more attention their words and than to God's Word?   Here is a glimpse into the Mind of God, from His Word alone.

  1. My Religion is Good.
  2. Religious Leaders.
  3. Good works do not get you into heaven.
  4. So what delight can I take in my achievements?
  5. What is the Narrow Door?
  6. What must be my Attitude to enter the Kingdom of God?
  7. What is a "child's Attitude"?
  8. How do I get into the Kingdom of God?
  9. Born a second time?
  10. How do I live by the Spirit of God?
  11. How do I know if I will get into heaven?
  12. How can I remain in God's Love?
  13. The traditions, rituals and books of men.
  14. God's Message to the churches.
  15. Knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
  16. Jesus asked, "Who do you say I am?"

My Religion is Good.

Everything we do is so good - in my denomination, my church, my religion.

"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." … But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matt 16:5-12

Beware: What seems to be good may not be truly of God. Religious Leaders

Everyone knows we do all the right things, we are kind, virtuous, nice, courteous, - we do so many good and right things that we certainly are blessed by God and certainly will go to heaven. Just look at all the projects we do, and the new church we built, …

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matt 7:21-23

And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' Matt 25:30

Your own good works do not get you into heaven, (see study below)

Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as He made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked Him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the Narrow Door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to."But He will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'        "But He will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from Me, all you evildoers!' "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God." Lk 13:22-30

Bring me to Sinful Life.
