Righteousness III

Blessings

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.  Ephesians 5:8-10

BLESSINGS

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yield its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers.  Psalm 1:1-3

"I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."  John 15:5

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.  Psalm 126:2

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.   Ephesians 1:3

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ.  And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.  2 Corinthians 1:20

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.  Psalm 112:1

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.  Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.  Psalm 119:1,2

If you fully obey the Lord your God ...  You will be blessed... Deuteronomy 28:1-14

GIFTS

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.   Romans 8:10

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.  Ephesians 1:7

The sting of death is sin, and the powers of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God!  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:56

because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me  from the law of sin and death.  Romans 8:2

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7

in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.    Ephesians 1:12

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Corinthians 9:8   (abound means to overflow, to have plenty)

I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that our joy may be complete.  John 15:9-11

"Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name - the name you gave me - so that they may be one as we are one.  John 17:11

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.  He anointed us...    2 Corinthians 1:21

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.  Ephesians 1:13

For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.  Ephesians 2:18

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.  Now remain in my love.  John 15:9

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure."  Psalm 133:6

PROTECTION

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in this heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep praying for all the saints.  Ephesians 6:-10-18

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.  If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all - how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 28,31-32,35,37-39

Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called.  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling.  One Lord, on faith, one baptism, above all, and through all, and in you all. ...It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and  become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:1-6,11-13

Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and protector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:1-2

He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure. Isaiah 33:15-16 NKJV

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.  In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:3,4 NKJV
